Box Score 4 While the Lancers did not have the outcome they wanted, the team showed hard work and growth while competing.
USCL competed in four games while in Florida and unfortunately lost them all, but a highlight from the weekend was when the Lancers won the opening set against St. Petersburg on Saturday, Aug. 29.
USCL vs. Hillsborough Community College: 25-12, 25-7, 25-17
The Lancers ended their first game of the tournament, recording 19 kills on 71 attempts with 16 errors, 18 assists, one ace and 33 digs. The Lancers had five service errors on 38 attempts, while blocking saw two assists and two errors. USCL also had 12 errors on 64 reception attempts.
USCL vs. Santa Fe College: 25-11, 25-18, 25-12
In the second game of the tournament for the USCL women's volleyball team, the Lancers collected 12 kills on 73 attempts with 18 errors, 11 assists, six aces and 33 digs. The Lancers had five service errors on 42 attempts, while blocking saw two assists. USCL also had 8 errors on 58 reception attempts.
USCL vs. St. Petersburg College: 25-21 (USCL), 25-9, 25-15, 25-14
On Saturday morning, the Lancers competed against the St. Petersburg Titans. While competing, USCL had 29 kills on 108 attempts with 20 errors, 27 assists, one ace and 52 digs. The Lancers had seven service errors on 64 attempts, while blocking saw one solo block, two assists and three errors. USCL also had 16 errors on 85 reception attempts.
USCL vs. Pasco Hernando State College: 25-17, 25-13, 25-12
In their last game of the tournament against the Bobcats, the Lancers recorded 21 kills on 91 attempts with 14 errors, 20 assists, six aces and 43 digs. The Lancers had four service errors on 44 attempts, while blocking saw two solo blocks and two errors. USCL also had 11 errors on 71 reception attempts.
