The Lancers volleyball team was defeated by Sandhills Community College on August 22, 2026 in three sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-18).  

After this match, the volleyball team holds an overall record of 1-1 and a conference record of 0-0.

The Lancers recorded 27 kills on 119 attempts with 25 errors during their game against the Flyers. They also had 7 aces out of 58 serve attempts with 6 service errors, alongside 8 reception errors on 64 attempts.  

The Lady Lancers had a few offensive standouts during their game against the Flyers. Sophomore outside hitter Constanza Fuentealba totaled 7 kills in her thr3e sets of play with 8reception attempts and 1 dig. Sophomore setter Rebekah Fersner also played all 3 sets, gaining 6 kills, 10 assists and five digs. Freshman setter Khloe Cheeks recorded 2kills, 12 assists and 9 digs. Hailey Kerestes, sophomore libero was at the top of the defensive side of the ball with 14 digs, 2 assists and 1 ace. Opposite hitter, freshman Kenzie Woodard also had a standout night on defense with 12 digs for the Lancers.  

The University of South Carolina Lancaster women's volleyball team will face off against Cleveland Community College on Wednesday, August 26 at home. The match will take place at 6:00 pm. Make sure to come out and support the Lancers in their home opener!
