Tyler joins the USC Lancaster program after spending one year at Pensacola State Community College in Florida. Tyler graduated from Hilton Head Prep School in 2016. During his high school career, Tyler won the SCISA 3A Region Player of the Year in 2014 and 2016. Tyler had 11 appearances on the mound his freshman year and recorded three wins while holding a 4.96 ERA.
