Lancer Student-Athletes Compete in All Star Game

The USC Lancaster Lancer Baseball Team has several of its players and former players involved in the summer collegiate baseball leagues. Derek Croxton, Mitchell Price, and Ben Taylor have been playing for the Ballantyne Smokies. The trio also made the Southern Collegiate Baseball League All-Stars this summer. Kyle Nyenhuis, who played the past two years for the Lancers also made the All-Star Team. Kyle is playing for the Statesville Owls and will be playing at Montreat College this fall. Zach Callahan, who will be transferring to Francis Marion University this fall plays for the Wilson Tobs and Ryan Manore plays for the Wilmington Sharks. Ryan will also be transferring to Francis Marion University. Sophomore Nathan Elliott played for the Briarcliffe Seagulls in the Beach Collegiate Baseball League as did former Lancer Kyle Baldwin. Kyle will be attending Francis Marion University. Former Lancer Tommy Winterstein played for the Richmond River Rats which are affiliated with the Prospect League in Indiana. Sophomore Tad Martin is playing for the Pittsfield Suns which is affiliated with the Future Collegiate Baseball League.
